100% solids epoxy is a type of epoxy that doesn’t have water or solvents that evaporate as it cures. When this coating is applied it retains 100% of its body and thickness after its cured. This type of epoxy floor coating is the most durable by far and when properly maintained will last 20 years or more. 100% epoxy must be applied quickly as it cures fast.

100% solids epoxy is the only epoxy that can be used for metallic epoxy flooring. This is due to the self-leveling properties that 100% solids epoxy has that allows the pigment to blend together and settle evenly. A great benefit of 100% solids epoxy is there are no VOC’s to be concerned about making this type of epoxy flooring regarded as environmentally friendly. Though this is more expensive than water-based or solvent-based epoxy, it will last the longest making it a great investment for your commercial space.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

When it comes to installation the key to a strong epoxy floor coating is all in the preparation. No two floors are the same, so the first step, of course, is to evaluate the current floor. After we’ve established our customer’s needs we begin preparation of the floor by either by diamond grinding or bead blasting of the floor to make sure the floor is ready for resin. This step is very important in ensuring there is a smooth surface so that there are no patches or cracks. After this, the area is cleaned again to ensure proper adherence. The next step is applying the resin itself. We apply this resin to make your flooring a beautiful, glossy, waterproof, and durable flooring option. The final step is allowing the epoxy to cure. Epoxy flooring is 100% cured within 72 hours.
